The Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is delighted to offer Economics, Business and Law Doctoral Fees Scholarship for applicants who meet the normal admission criteria to the Doctor of Philosophy programme.

Eligibility for the Scholarship:

Eligible Countries: This scholarship is available for all new international students.

Entrance Requirements: All applicants for this scholarship must:

  • Meet the normal admission criteria to the Doctor of Philosophy programme.
  • Have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in their prior undergraduate and postgraduate study, usually achieving at least an A- average or better.
  • Be proposing to undertake doctoral research in a field of study where the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law can offer supervision.
  • Be enrolling for the first time in a full-time Doctor of Philosophy programme.

English Language Requirements: The candidate should have a very good command of English language. Therefore, the application should be written in English.

Application Procedure:

How to Apply: Application will be through the Auckland University of Technology on-line scholarships application portal. Applicants will be asked to upload:

  • Academic transcripts of prior undergraduate and postgraduate study if this study was completed at an institution other than Auckland University of Technology.
  • A written statement summarising prior academic and research accomplishments.
  • A written summary of the proposed doctoral research, outlining its rationale, significance and likely contribution.
  • The applicant will also be asked to nominate their supervisor through the portal in order for them to provide a statement of support.

Eligibility for Mackenzie King Scholarships:

Eligible Countries: The Scholarship is available to international students

Entrance Requirement: Due to the highly competitive nature of these awards and the number of potentially eligible University of Toronto students/alumni, individuals who apply through U of T must meet all of the following criteria at the time of application:
• Have applied for admission to a graduate program and will be commencing (or continuing in the 2nd or 3rdyear of) full-time graduate studies in the upcoming 2019-2020 academic-year;
• Will have obtained a degree from a Canadian university (e.g., bachelor’s degree, master’s degree) when the tenure of the scholarship begins (i.e. September 2019);
• Demonstrate a minimum grade of “A-” (80%, 3.7/4.0) in almost every undergraduate and graduate course completed to date. Applicants with a B+ or lower in any individual course are typically not considered (Travelling Scholarship applicants excepted); and
• Are at an early stage of their graduate program (Years 1-3).

King Scholarships Application Procedure:

How to Apply: Each applicant must ensure that a complete application package is provided to the Graduate Awards Office (63 St. George Street, 2nd-floor reception) in hard copy by 4:30 pm on Monday, January 14, 2019. U of T alumni may submit their applications by February 1, 2019 (4:30 pm).
• Applications that are incomplete, ineligible or are submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Applications or documentation sent directly to the Board administering the national competition will not be considered.

Fully Funded Doctoral Scholarships at Swansea University UK

The Swansea University is pleased to offer up to sixteen fully funded scholarships for a full-time doctoral study on a Swansea University single award degree, commencing in October 2019, supported by its flagship Swansea University Research Excellence Scholarships Scheme (SURES).

The Swansea University Research Excellence Scholarships include fees at Home/EU rate and a maintenance stipend at UKRI rates, each for a maximum period of three years.

The award of a fully funded scholarship is conditional upon the recipient achieving either a first class honors degree and/or a distinction at Masters’ level. All applications must include a structured research proposal for the chosen project. Applications submitted without a research proposal will not be considered.

Eligibility For Scholarship:

Eligible Countries: The fully funded Scholarship is available to international students
• Entrance Requirement: Applicants should have (or expect to obtain) a first class honors degree (or equivalent) and/or distinction at Masters.
• Applicants, who are yet to complete their qualification, should attach transcripts to evidence their progress towards achieving either a first class honors degree or a distinction at Masters.
• Applicants who hold degrees from a non-UK University should attach academic transcripts and certificates.
• Where applicants have multiple standalone Master’s Degrees, a distinction must be achieved in that most relevant to their intended doctoral degree.
• Due to funding restrictions, the scholarships are available to UK/EU students only. Applicants liable for overseas fees are not eligible to apply.
